About APPK

It is the heart of Arden Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten that we run like a children’s ministry. Valuing each child as the uniquely created individual that they are!  Helping them to not only grow in learning abc’s/academics, but also emotional intelligence/social interaction, and especially growing each day spiritually. We want each student to know how “BIG” God loves them and as Christian educators, we work hard to assist the whole child’s development. Each week we have a music teacher come to the school and every Wednesday we have chapel time where we gather together to sing and have a Bible story time/discussion together.

If you are considering our program as a potential fit for your family, we would love the opportunity to speak with you or give you a tour of our facility.

We use a phonemic awareness-based curriculum called Heggerty in each class. We have also incorporated several other curricula into our lesson plans to create a very stimulating program. Our program is intended to offer children a learning opportunity for the developmental stages of preschool.

Yes, a lunch is sent from home. Keep in mind, classrooms do not have the ability to heat or refrigerate items. Lunches should be labeled with your child’s name and accompanied by a water bottle. Make sure lunch does NOT include peanuts or peanut butter.

Safety is a priority, and teachers are required to have current certification.

Prescription medicines should be given at home. If your child requires an EpiPen, it will be kept in his/her classroom, and instructions will be given to the teacher. We keep first aid supplies on hand for minor scrapes, stings, and bruises.

We love them! It is so special when parents can join their children in the classroom and make memories together. Volunteer opportunities will need to be arranged with the classroom teacher.
